Project Overview
Hudl Insight was an ambitious project to create a comprehensive sports analysis platform that would revolutionize how coaches and analysts work with game footage. The challenge was to design a system that could handle complex data analysis while remaining intuitive and efficient for users with varying levels of technical expertise.
The Challenge
The main challenge was designing a platform that could effectively serve multiple user types - from coaches and first team analysts. Both groups had distinct needs and workflows that needed to be seamlessly integrated into a cohesive experience.
Additionally, we needed to ensure the platform could handle large amounts of video and data, statistical analysis while maintaining high performance and reliability.
Design Process
Research & Discovery
We conducted extensive user research with coaches and analysts across professional sports to understand their workflows, pain points, and needs. This helped us identify key opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Iterative Design
Through multiple iterations and user testing sessions, we refined the interface to ensure it met both technical requirements and user needs. Working closely with engineers, we built the application rapidly while maintaining high quality.
Implementation & Testing
We developed the platform through rapid iterations, constantly testing with real users and refining based on feedback. This approach allowed us to deliver a powerful yet intuitive tool that met the needs of our diverse user base.
